Louie & Lauren; proposal

"Like a river flows surely to the sea,
Darling, so it goes,
Some things were meant to be...
For I can't help falling in love with you..."

Louie contacted me through my Facebook business page and asked if he could give me a call. We talked and he excitedly explained how he was new to the area, found my page randomly, liked my pictures, and wanted me to shoot his proposal!

As we discussed the proposal, I began to grin. He had just gotten the ring and was ready to propose... asap. He wanted to make Lauren his fiancĂ©, and he could barely wait! The only problem was the plan... there really wasn't one. >.< He knew he wanted to play his guitar or ukulele because he had learned their special song, but he wasn't sure where to do it or when.

Over the course of the next week and a half, we decided on a place and time and flowers. And on a beautiful, sunshiney Saturday, he surprised his girlfriend in the absolutely sweetest way.

I arrived early to set up the bench and flowers, shot him a "we're ready!!!" text, and then pretended to be on a casual date with Christian while sitting a little ways away.

After Louie played a few songs, I got up and took a few pictures of Christian, then a few of the trees, and finally made my way over to where they were. (Why no, I'm not a trained secret agent, but thanks for asking.)

"Oh my goodness! You guys are so cute! Do you mind if I take a picture?" (Said in my girliest, fan-girl of love voice. Which isn't too far a stretch for me.)

"Of course not!" the still unsuspecting Lauren responded. Louie continued to play. But now he strummed out the chords and sang along with the words to "I can't help falling in love with you." Their special song.

After he finished, he spoke. And finally, Lauren began to understand why I was still creeping on them.

Her face says it all.

Congrats Louie and Lauren!!! I wish you many more sunshine and happy filled days. :)
